THERAPY FOR THE 2SLGBTQIA+, POLY, & KINKY COMMUNITIES IN SAN FRANCISCO & ONLINE ACROSS CA
Celebrate your identity, and let go of self-doubt.
Ever feel like you’re caught between who you wish you could be and who the world thinks you are?
You didn’t ask for this constant push and pull between who you are and what the world seems willing to accept. Maybe you’re still figuring out your identity, trying to understand your truth while navigating the offhand comments, the jokes that aren’t funny, and the ‘concerns’ from people who think they mean well. You might even find yourself excusing these comments, telling yourself they didn’t mean it or that they don’t understand, but it doesn’t hurt it any less. Even if you know these comments are wrong, you may feel forced to ignore them for survival and safety. It’s exhausting, constantly shrinking or explaining yourself to make others comfortable.
And while you may have a few close friends who get it, there’s still this feeling of missing out on the chosen family you’ve been dreaming of—the queer, poly, or kinky community where you feel fully seen and understood. So many of us have been in that space — wondering if we’re asking too much by simply wanting to be seen and loved as we are. It’s okay to take up space, to be unapologetic about who you are and what you need. You deserve a place where you don’t have to excuse or explain yourself—a space where your identity, relationships, and desires are accepted and celebrated. There’s nothing wrong with you, and you don’t have to face this alone. You belong here, just as you are.
Together, We Can Dismantle Harmful Beliefs and Cultivate Deep Self-Love.
In this safe and compassionate space, we’ll work together to challenge the limiting beliefs that have held you back, while nurturing the self-love and acceptance you deserve. Whether you’re questioning your identity or facing judgment from others, we’ll create a path forward that honors your true self, helping you heal, grow, and embrace your unique journey with confidence and pride.
HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER
Stop Apologizing for Your Existence—It’s Time to Take Up the Space You Deserve.
We’ll start by exploring the messages you’ve absorbed from your upbringing and the subliminal beliefs that have accumulated over time—those subtle, often harmful ideas about who you should be and how you should show up in the world. Together, we’ll work to unlearn them, undo the harm they’ve caused, and free you from the weight of these limiting patterns.
Using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), we can target past experiences that may have contributed to your shame and self-doubt. By reprocessing these memories, we can reduce their emotional charge and replace harmful, outdated narratives with helpful, updated ones. Through expressive arts, we’ll explore your inner world creatively. I may invite you to write a no-send letter to the person whose critical voice lives rent-free in your head, create a playlist that represents the evolution of your identity, or draw the parts of your identity that you have historically hidden. Finally, body-oriented therapies will help you reconnect with your body’s wisdom, release stored tension, and cultivate a more profound sense of safety and presence in your own skin.
Together, these tools will help you reclaim your confidence, heal old wounds, and step into your authentic self with love, strength, and courage.
IT’S OKAY TO FEEL LIKE CONFORMING IS EASIER & SAFER — SOCIAL PRESSURES AND COMMUNITY STRUCTURES ARE DESIGNED TO MAKE IT THAT WAY.
In our work together, we’ll unpack the layers of expectations and systemic narratives that have shaped your sense of self—messages about what it means to be ‘enough’ in the eyes of your family, community, or society. We’ll challenge perceptions of gender roles, cultural norms, and religious interpretations. We will explore the interconnected oppressions of the 2SLGBTQIA+, poly, & kinky communities with racial violence, misogyny, and systemic rejection. From a place of community and shared understanding, we’ll delve into the rich and resilient history of queer, poly, and kinky communities, honoring the legacies of resistance and joy that have paved the way for us while also holding space to acknowledge the harm we’ve caused or witnessed within our own circles. By examining the barriers placed on our identities and recognizing the privileges we carry, we’ll create space to move beyond shame and into deeper, more authentic connections. This process will amplify the voices of those most marginalized, challenge the structures that have constrained us, and empower you to embrace your truth with pride, authenticity, and courage.
Your voice matters. Your journey is powerful.
You have the strength to unlearn the harmful beliefs you’ve carried, to honor your truth, and to take up space in a world that hasn’t always made room for you.
